Movie Review, the Indy way: 28 Months Later

3 words! Absolutely fuckingliciously awesome!

From the creation of Alex Garland, the writer and creator of the emptiness British Isles and 28 days later managed to scoop up the horror of rage at its utmost killing spree to a sequel! It’s a pity that both Alex Garland and Danny Boyle, who directed 28 days later, didn’t make the continuation but a reasonable attitude if you don’t like directing second servings… but instead, he became the producer of the film.

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, a selected director to do the film have successfully deliver the same intense, thrilling adventure…times a billion!! The shots were absolutely amazing, the sights and scenes were magnificent, and the characters are so in-depth and realistic!! GOD DAYUM~

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo in action!

The characters in this story reveals the inner subconscious of the desperation and instinct to survive. The realism combining all elements in the film structured to the unknown limits where such thing can possibly exist. Makes the audience to say things like "shit…whoa…oh man, WHAT THE F@#$?!"

Watch it!!

-----------------------------------------SPOILER ALERT!!---------------------------------
(close your eyes! it's contagious!!)

Well what can I say bout’ this film; it still had it horror and thriller chases but captured in new and improved perspectives. When in a chase scene, you can feel goosebumbs as the ‘rabies’ people (technically, they aint’ zombies) chase down the survivors such during the intro of the film, Don (my favorite character) the main character, (the father of the 2 puppies (kids)), being chased to the river. Every turn he takes to look back, we see through his eyes as the shots taken were the raging people aggressively run after him. This gives a sense of realism that it looks like a very shitty situation.

"O shit, O shit, O shit, O shit....!!!"

I agree with you Don!

Speaking of the intro, unfortunately, it was only the best and my favorite scene of the movie. The intro of the film touched on the logical and desperation of survival base on our human physical minds of the real world. It didn’t had those hero sense where one kicks ass a heap loads of blood sucking people, but normal people kicking others for sacrifice to give themselves the chance to live! Instead of people leaving behind to save others, they run far away! OH man, that is so TRUE. Cause I know, I would.

"WAIT!!! I HAVE TO USE THE TOILET FIRST!!!!"

"Fuck that, let’s run!!!"

And some people stilllll~ had dignity to become a hero again… but they know they will die! So realistic! ‘Fear’ within the characters was the main course, the number one-a o’k! in this film.

Yea thats right, leave the kids behind! Have no mercccyyy~!

"Hey theres something out-- lkdsjfksdjfkjdkjfkdsjf!!!aaaaahhhh!!!"

Zombie: (slurp slurp) "ccchhiiiiiggzazabukakkakakloiughjewwwiiiii"

I like how which characters die and which don’t; or they think they’ll live, but they didn’t! =) smiley face for that! I like how there was an older sister then an older brother, it gives us the sense of being less vulnerable. Imogen Poots is hot!

Imogen Poots = zombie's wet dream

Rose Byre is ok-hot, I like her cause she was on Sunshine as well! =)

Rose Byre - ...meehh.

What I didn’t like, the fucking American soldiers. Not being racist, but they went overboard when they wanted to start killing everybody! Here were the mistakes following through timeline sequences:

i) WHY the fuck would you keep 2000 or more people in an isolated area with no security… even if they were sacrifice to drive the raging people there…huh???

ii) I understand the fear of the general want to kill everyone...because he's a pu**$&, again realistic, but give your soldiers some sense and stop killing the innocent. Especially in obvious locations like the dark scene and the sniper shooter. Oh wait, i forgot "Code Red...". Sarcasm. The Raging people wouldn’t care to hide cause they’re mental….(or would they?)

iii) OH MY GOD!! LOL HAHAHHAaha, I laughed at this so much—when the Apache, the leading killer machine in the world, (it’s a helicopter, yes mightier then a jet, one of these babies can take down 11 tanks 2 miles radius….in less then 2 mins) can’t shot down a freaking car…

A CAR!!! Whats even more stupid, IF, the pilot thinks he’s killing either raging people driving a car. Or just following orders.

Little did they know, that raincoats may not be the best armor protection...

iv) Helicopter flies to France…from London…I think that’s too far. Plus, what makes the French any better? The French almost eat anything; snails, but what if they became raging people?

Now I know I might forget to mention others but when I watch it with my sis, she said Don, the first guy to get infected was stupid enough to kiss the carrier of the virus… Well again realism. If you love one survive an explainable situation and thought never to see him or her, you know you want to kiss him or her. He could be blinded by his guilt and love.

Movie Verdict: A-

Well that wraps it up. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, the director, made an excellent job empting out London and created fantastic shots of the film. The characters and relationship in the film is so real and really in-depth. Very thrilling experience, and hope they don’t make another squeal because its just better sometimes to stop there.

"And now, 28 Months Later: Only five remain on earth. How will these peo--

ok, now it's four people..."

28 Months later, in Paris sounds cool though! I want to cast in it!!

Peace!

4) Good. OK. Mehh…. WOW!!!

Anyway, the point of this post is the return of moi and the IGCSE or Edexcel is almost over. Like, in one week or less. So im settling for the coming summer which a lot of things I’ve planed. But there is one particular thing which im in a crazed about…

A new room. My new bedroom.

I’ve always have an obsession of showing off what I have, if it was really cool, so every year during hari raya, my obsession is to have the coolest room. But I was struck down by my cousin, Abang Barak, last year. So I raise his challenge this year.

GLADIATOR STYLE!!!

...

...

No. Actually I’ve planed for a new bedroom ages ago. So here’s the deal:

Ya' see, this is my Terrance. It’s quite large so im gonna positioned the room taking a third of the floor space here on the right side of the photo.

This is the view of what the room will have. Cool huh. The thing is, I like the view so badly that im willing to build a room as small from 9.75 by 19.5 feet. Believe me that’s small. Even my maid’s bedroom is twice the size larger. But its worth it. Cause half of the room’s walls are large, kick ass, windows! And finishing the room with another, kick ass, glass roof!

These are the stars and moon I would be star-gazing from my new floor bed.

This would be my natural alarm clock, the sunrise. This room would be facing directly to the sunrise that at exactly 6.10 a.m is the time to wake up. That’s perfect before going to school. And yes, it’s that ambient and breath-taking.

And equally with sunsets like this day...

Or this day.

Or even this day.

The room entertainment? Well im hoping to get hold of my bro’s sound system since he’s buying heap loads of gadgets and consoles in U.K so that’s cool. Hopefully I can manage to get my hands on a projector so I can, yet again, taken my bro’s DvD system. This room is fitted with wooden plank floors that you see in IKEA and a low coffee table with a couch…

Then there are others like closets, full body mirror, table, bookshelf, cupboards if needed etc, etc. My point is that im building an ambient, chill out room. But off course, there are needed things like THIS!

A passage way?! No, its part of my future room: a wall will be facing this photo in the future. Yes, an f’ing wall!!!!! WALL!!! OH MY GOD, YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS?!?! A 6 foot by 8 foot wall right behind one part of my soon-to-be-bedroom!!!. for graffiti. im still dodgy though.

Ok. I really don’t want to extend this blog to far. I still have lots of things to do for the coming holidays which I wanna share. Like getting my new skates, my cousins from England first visit to Brunei, my bro coming back, TRANSFORMERS, games, Singapore TWICE, maybe K.K too, I dunno if Hamish is still up for it for me taking photos of his gigs, J.P, Mall – Gadong and shit loads more.

Peace!
